AC Technician



Job Title: Air Conditioning (AC) Technician / HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

An AC Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems and related equipment. The role ensures systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with standards.

• Key Responsibilities:Install, service, and repair air conditioning systems, including split units, central AC, and duct systems
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning filters, coils, and ducts
• Check refrigerant levels and recharge systems when necessary
• Inspect and test system performance to ensure proper operation
• Replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, and thermostats
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Provide customer support and explain maintenance procedures
• Maintain records of service, repairs, and installations 
• Skills and Qualifications:Diploma or certification in HVAC or related field
• Proven experience as an AC or HVAC technician
• Knowledge of electrical systems and refrigeration principles
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good physical condition and ability to work in confined spaces or heights
• Basic communication and customer service skills
• Work Environment:Residential homes, offices, factories, and construction sites
• May require working outdoors or in extreme temperatures
• Involves lifting heavy equipment and tools
