Supervisor/Incharge

Job Summary:

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations and ensuring timely maintenance/repairs of infrastructure, equipment, and utilities. The role ensures cleanliness, hygiene, and proper functioning of all facilities.

• Key Responsibilities:
• 1. Housekeeping SupervisionSupervise cleaning staff and daily housekeeping activities
• Ensure cleanliness of classrooms, offices, washrooms, corridors, and common areas
• Monitor usage of cleaning materials and maintain stock
• Ensure hygiene standards are maintained at all times
• 2. Repair & MaintenanceOversee routine and emergency repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, AC, etc.)
• Coordinate with technicians and vendors for maintenance work
• Ensure proper functioning of lights, fans, ACs, water supply, and sanitation systems
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules
• 3. Team ManagementAssign duties and shifts to housekeeping and maintenance staff
• Monitor staff performance and discipline
• Provide basic training on cleaning standards and safety practices
• 4. Inspection & ReportingConduct regular inspections of campus/buildings
• Identify maintenance issues and take corrective action
• Maintain logs of repairs, complaints, and completed work
• Submit daily/weekly reports to management
• 5. Safety & ComplianceEnsure proper handling of cleaning chemicals and tools
• Follow safety standards and emergency procedures
• Maintain fire safety and basic facility compliance
• 6. Inventory & Cost ControlManage stock of cleaning supplies, tools, and spare parts
• Control wastage and optimize usage
• Coordinate purchasing requirements with management
