Job Description
An Architect and Interior Designer conceptualizes, plans, and oversees the construction and furnishing of spaces. They manage projects from initial client briefs and structural blueprints to material selection and final decoration, ensuring the final environment is aesthetic, functional, safe, and built to exact specifications.
Project Conceptualization: Translate client requirements and brand identity into detailed 2D/3D plans, sketches, and mood boards.
Space Planning: Optimize floor layouts, traffic flow, and spatial configurations for both structural and cosmetic purposes.
Material & Product Sourcing: Research, select, and specify materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes while adhering to project budgets.
Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction and installations meet design, structural integrity, and safety specifications.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with contractors, builders, engineers, and suppliers to streamline workflow and timelines.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all structural and interior modifications comply with local building codes, fire regulations, and zoning laws.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level command of design and drafting tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Creativity & Vision: A strong artistic foundation with an expert eye for color palettes, textures, lighting, and spatial aesthetics.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to pitch design ideas effectively to clients and resolve on-site issues.
