Job Description
Job Overview: Laser Programmer & Operator
National Industrial Services, located near Khadarwadi Cross in Udyambag, Belgaum, is seeking an experienced Laser Cutting Machine Programmer & Operator for a full-time shop floor role. The ideal candidate must possess 2 to 5 years of practical experience setting up and operating CNC fiber or CO_2 laser cutting machinery, alongside a strong technical foundation in reading blueprint engineering drawings.
Core Responsibilities & Technical Tasks
The primary duty involves independent sheet metal nesting and programming using software like AutoCAD or CorelDRAW to maximize raw material efficiency and minimize scrap. On a daily basis, the operator will select appropriate metal sheets (such as Mild Steel or Stainless Steel), calibrate machine parameters—including focal length, cutting speed, and gas pressure (Oxygen/Nitrogen)—and monitor production for dimensional accuracy. Routine maintenance, such as nozzle cleaning and lens inspection, is also required to prevent machine downtime.
Candidate Requirements & Application
While an ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, strong hands-on experience commands priority.
