Job Description – Business Development Manager 


Role Overview:Anantaya Enterprises LLP is seeking a highly driven, result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead business expansion, client acquisition, and revenue growth initiatives. This role combines strategic thinking with strong execution capability, requiring the ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and convert them into sustainable business.

The BDM will work closely with leadership, operations, and finance teams to ensure that growth strategies are aligned with service capabilities, customer expectations, and long-term business objectives. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in a target-driven environment, take ownership of outcomes, and are passionate about building scalable business pipelines.

Anantaya Enterprises LLP is a franchise partner of DTDC Express Ltd., operating from Horamavu, Bangalore. We deliver reliable, efficient, and customer-centric courier and logistics services across India through strong coordination with DTDC’s nationwide network and corporate clientele.

Key Responsibilities: 

1.    Business Development & Client Acquisition

 ·      Contact potential clients to establish rapport, arrange meetings, & convert opportunities into revenue.

·      Plan and execute new marketing initiatives to generate leads and brand visibility.

·      Drive revenue growth by building healthy pipelines, tracking conversions,

·      Identify, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships with corporates, e-commerce players, and enterprise accounts.

·      Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.

·      Drive consistent revenue growth and account expansion

 

 

2.    Strategic Partnerships & Revenue Growth

·      Identify, negotiate, and close partnerships with corporates, e-commerce players, and large accounts.

·      Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

·      Monitor competitor activity, market shifts, and industry trends to ensure a competitive edge.

·      Prepare and present client proposals, quotations, and commercial agreements.

 

3.    Customer Success & Retention


·      Ensure seamless onboarding of new clients in coordination with operations & customer service teams.

·      Maintain regular engagement with key clients to build long-term relationships and ensure satisfaction.

·      Resolve escalations proactively and implement corrective measures for sustained improvement.

 

4.    Customer Success & Relationship Management


·      Ensure seamless onboarding of new clients with strong coordination between ops & support teams.

·      Conduct periodic client reviews to strengthen relationships, improve satisfaction, and implement retention initiatives.

·      Resolve escalations professionally, balancing customer needs with company vision and policies.

 

5.    Strategy, Reporting & Analytics


·      Develop quotes, proposals, and business presentations tailored to client needs.

·      Prepare weekly/monthly MIS reports, including pipeline tracking, conversion ratios, and revenue forecasts.

·      Use data-driven insights and market intelligence to guide business development initiatives.

·      Support leadership in defining sales strategies, business goals, and expansion plans.

 

6.    Team Collaboration & Leadership


·      Mentor and guide junior executives to develop their sales and negotiation skills.

·      Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and marketing for alignment.

·      Support the creation of branding and promotional campaigns for lead generation.

 

7.    Reporting, Analytics and KPI


·      Track leads, opportunities, and revenue pipelines

·      Generate weekly/monthly MIS reports covering sales performance, forecasts, and business growth metrics.

·      Monthly and quarterly revenue targets

·      New client acquisition and conversion ratio

·      Pipeline strength and deal closure cycle

·      Customer retention and account growth

·      Collection efficiency and commercial discipline

·      Leverage data insights to refine business development strategies.

 

  

Qualifications & Skills: 

·      Graduate/Postgraduate degree with a strong professional track record.

·      2–5 years of proven business development experience in courier, logistics, transportation, freight, e-commerce, distribution, or related industries.

·      Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·      Demonstrated ability to close large deals and manage enterprise-level accounts.

·      Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and deliver results in a target-driven environment.

·      Strong networking abilities with established contacts in the industry.

·      Excellent time management and organizational skills.

·      Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership-driven approach.

·      The ability to balance customer needs against the company’s vision.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Compensation will be best in industry and will not be a constraint for the right candidate.

In addition to salary, medical insurance, performance-based incentives and annual bonus eligibility will be offered as per company policy.
