Position: Chinese Cook / Pan Asian Cook

Job Summary

SS Caterers is seeking an experienced, skilled Chinese Cook who can prepare high-quality Chinese dishes, as well as basic Continental and Pan-Asian cuisine. The candidate should have knowledge of commercial kitchen operations, food hygiene, and large-scale catering production for corporate cafeterias and events.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook Chinese cuisine items such as:

Noodles

Fried rice

Manchurian

Gravies

Soups

Starters

Chinese sauces and marinades

Prepare basic Continental dishes such as:

Pasta

Grilled items

Baked dishes

Sandwiches

Salads

Sauces

Prepare Pan Asian dishes, including:

Thai curries

Stir-fried dishes

Asian rice and noodle varieties

Oriental sauces and accompaniments

Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.

Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety and hygiene standards.

Coordinate with kitchen supervisors and production teams for daily menu planning.

Monitor stock usage and minimize wastage.

Handle bulk cooking for corporate catering operations.

Ensure proper storage of raw materials and cooked food.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Chinese or Pan Asian cooking.

Knowledge of Continental cuisine is mandatory.

Experience in catering industry or corporate cafeteria operations preferred.

Ability to work in bulk production kitchens.

Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Ability to work in rotational shifts.

Preferred Qualities

Ability to work under pressure during peak hours.

Creativity in menu preparation and food presentation.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Education

Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts ( If Any)

Relevant kitchen experience can also be considered.
