Job Description

A CNC Programmer translates technical engineering blueprints into actionable code to operate factory machinery. They use CAD/CAM software to design components and write the specific G-code and M-code instructions needed to cut raw materials (metals, plastics, etc.) into precise, finished parts for manufacturing.



Core Responsibilities

  • Blueprint Reading: Analyze 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models to determine dimensions, tolerances, and the most efficient production sequence.
  • Programming & Simulation: Write and optimize G-code/M-code programs using CAM software, ensuring optimal tool paths, feed rates, and cutting speeds.
  • Machine Setup & Operation: Configure, calibrate, and set up CNC milling machines, lathes, or VMC machines.
