Job Description – Computer Science Teacher

Position: Computer Science Teacher

Location: Gurukula International School, Bengaluru

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to educate students in computer fundamentals, programming, digital literacy, and emerging technologies. The teacher should create an engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity, logical thinking, and practical learning.

Key Responsibilities:

* Teach Computer Science subjects to students from primary/middle/high school levels (as applicable).

* Develop lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.

* Teach topics such as:

 * Computer Fundamentals

 * MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 * Programming Languages (Scratch / Python / Java basics)

 * Internet & Cyber Safety

 * Coding & Problem Solving

 * Robotics / AI basics (optional)

* Conduct practical lab sessions and hands-on activities.

* Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.

* Encourage students to participate in coding competitions and technology events.

* Maintain discipline and create an interactive learning atmosphere.

* Stay updated with the latest educational technology and teaching methods.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree** in Computer Science / Information Technology / related field.

B.Ed.** preferred for school teaching positions.

* Prior teaching experience is an advantage.

* Strong communication and classroom management skills.

* Knowledge of coding, software applications, and modern educational tools.
