Financial Controller

Job Summary

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the entire financial operations of the organization within the General Insurance domain. The role involves financial planning, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, reconciliation oversight, and strategic financial management to ensure organizational financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Lead and manage the finance department and its operations.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Oversee preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to leadership.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Insurance Financial Operations

• Monitor insurance premium accounting, claims accounting, and insurer settlements.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of insurer accounts, commissions, and payouts.
• Supervise reconciliation and business analysis teams.

Compliance & Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and financial standards.
• Manage statutory audits, internal audits, and tax compliance.
• Maintain strong financial governance and internal controls.

Cash Flow & Risk Management

• Monitor company cash flow and financial risks.
• Implement financial controls to minimize financial exposure.
