Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and support manufacturing of commercial and home fitness equipment such as treadmills, strength machines, racks, benches, and functional training equipment. The role involves product design, prototyping, testing, and coordination with manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop fitness equipment (strength, cardio, functional training)

• Create 2D drawings & 3D models using CAD tools (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo)

• Perform structural analysis and load calculations for safety and durability

• Select suitable materials (steel, alloys, plastics, rubber components)

• Develop prototypes and support testing & validation

• Ensure designs meet ergonomic, safety, and quality standards

• Work closely with manufacturing, vendors, and fabrication teams

• Optimize designs for cost, weight, and manufacturability

• Prepare BOM, technical documentation, and assembly drawings

• Support troubleshooting during production and installation

• Ensure compliance with ISO / CE / safety norms (preferred)

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design & manufacturing processes

• Hands-on experience with fitness equipment or heavy fabrication preferred

• Proficiency in CAD software

• Understanding of welding, sheet metal, machining, and fabrication

• Basic knowledge of stress analysis and load-bearing design

• Ability to work with vendors and production teams

• Problem-solving and attention to detail
