Role: Physiotherapist

Job Purpose: 

Promote and maintain health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist

Job Responsibilities:

• Contributes to a physical therapist’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining updating, and studying therapy histories
• Administers treatment programs for patients
• Evaluates abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapist’s interpretations of patient evaluations and test results
• Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities
• Helps patients in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records

Job Specifications:

• Qualification: Associate degree for physical therapy assistant, state-administered exam or the National Physical Therapy Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the same role
• Technical Skills / Job related skills: Record Management, high standard of patient care, knowledge in various physiotherapy treatments, techniques and equipment
• Management Skills: Be a good team player, maintain good people relations, maintain a positive attitude
• Communication Skills: Good command over English, Kannada, Good listening skills and ability to display empathy and provide advice
