Quality Control Engineer

A Quality Engineer for Tool and Die ensures the precision, durability, and functionality of molds, dies, and fixtures by validating tool manufacturing, performing dimensional inspections, and troubleshooting production trials. They bridge the gap between design and productio, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Tool Validation & Inspection: Inspect new, repaired, or modified tools, dies, and molds using precision measuring instruments.
• Production Trial Support: Oversee initial, first-article, and production trials to identify tool performance issues and validate quality standards.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Investigate manufacturing defects, non-conformances, and tooling failures using tools like CAPA or DOE to implement corrective actions.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed records of tool inspections, trial results, and design modifications.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with designers and toolmakers to optimize tool design and process efficiency (e.g., in molding or stamping).
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all tooling meets industry-specific standards (e.g., IATF 16949) and customer quality requirements
