Senior Purchase Executive

   Job Description – Senior Executive Purchase Job Title: Senior Executive – Purchase Department: Procurement / Supply Chain Location: Kamakshipalya Reporting To:Purchase Manager / Supply Chain Head Job Summary The Senior Executive – Purchase is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for outlets, ensuring timely availability of materials, cost optimization, and vendor management. The role focuses on maintaining supply continuity across multiple outlets while adhering to company policies and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Procurement Operations • Handle purchase of raw materials, packaging, and store supplies for all outlets • Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs) in ERP systems • Ensure timely delivery of materials to outlets/warehouses • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment Vendor Management • Identify and onboard new vendors • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers • Track vendor performance (quality, delivery timelines) Cost Control & Budgeting • Ensure procurement within approved budgets • Compare quotations and finalize cost-effective vendors • Track price fluctuations and recommend cost-saving measures Inventory Coordination • Coordinate with warehouse/store teams for stock planning • Avoid stock-outs and overstock situations • Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory Documentation & Compliance • Maintain proper documentation of POs, invoices, GRNs • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies • Support audits with required documents Coordination • Work closely with: o Operations team (outlet requirements) o Finance team (payments, reconciliations) o Logistics team (dispatch & delivery tracking) Key Skills Required • Strong negotiation & vendor management skills • Good knowledge of procurement processes • Analytical & cost control mindset • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (like greythr or similar tools) • Good communication & coordination skills Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Business Administration • Relevant certifications in procurement (preferred) Experience • 3–6 years in procurement/purchase • Preferably in Retail / QSR / FMCG industry KPIs / Performance Metrics • Cost savings achieved • Vendor performance score • On-time procurement rate • Stock availability across outlets • Reduction in wastage / excess inventory Additional Requirements (Retail/QSR Specific) • Ability to handle multiple outlets procurement • Knowledge of perishable goods handling (if food/QSR) • Flexibility to manage urgent/last-minute requirements Behavioral Competencies • Problem-solving approach • Attention to detail • Ability to work under pressure • Strong follow-up and ownership mindset
