Store Executive

Job Summary

The Sampling Store Executive is responsible for the effective management of apparel samples within the sampling store. This role ensures accurate receipt, storage, tracking, issuance, and maintenance of development, fit, sales, and production samples. The position supports cross-functional teams by maintaining sample inventory accuracy and ensuring timely availability of samples for internal and external requirements.

• Key ResponsibilitiesSample Inventory ManagementReceive, record, and organize all incoming apparel samples.
• Maintain accurate sample inventory records in physical and digital systems.
• Ensure proper labeling, categorization, and storage of samples.
• Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Sample Tracking & IssuanceTrack sample movement across departments including Design, Merchandising, Quality, Production, and Sales.
• Issue and collect samples as per approved requests.
• Monitor sample return timelines and follow up with stakeholders.
• Maintain sample dispatch and return logs.
• Sample Store OperationsEnsure the sample store is organized, clean, and compliant with company standards.
• Manage sample archiving and disposal processes according to company policies.
• Maintain storage systems to facilitate easy retrieval of samples.
• Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with merchandising, product development, and sourcing teams regarding sample requirements.
• Support sample preparation for buyer meetings, presentations, exhibitions, and internal reviews.
• Assist in sample dispatch to customers, vendors, and overseas offices.
• Reporting & DocumentationGenerate periodic reports on sample inventory status and movement.
• Maintain records of sample receipts, dispatches, losses, and damages.
• Support management with inventory analysis and process improvement initiatives.
• QualificationsBachelor's degree or diploma in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in apparel sampling, inventory management, warehouse operations, or merchandising support.
• Experience in garment manufacturing, buying house, export house, or retail apparel industry preferred.
• Required SkillsStrong inventory management and record-keeping skills.
• Knowledge of apparel sampling processes and garment categories.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines effectively.
