Job Summary

The Vehicle Management Executive will be responsible for handling the company’s fleet operations, ensuring proper vehicle allocation, maintenance, documentation, and smooth coordination between drivers, service centers, and the operations team. The ideal candidate should have experience in automobile management, fleet handling, or transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day fleet operations for the taxi service.

Assign vehicles to drivers and ensure proper utilization.

Monitor vehicle condition, mileage, fuel usage, and trip details.

Coordinate for regular vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.

Maintain records of insurance, pollution certificates, RC books, permits, and fitness certificates.

Conduct periodic vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.

Track vehicle movements using GPS/telemetry and report any route deviations or issues.

Maintain vehicle availability reports and update dashboards.

Liaise with service centers and vendors for spare parts and repairs.

Handle breakdown assistance and arrange replacement vehicles.

Monitor driver behavior, performance, and compliance with company standards.

Ensure timely renewal of insurance, permits, and other regulatory documents.

Maintain cleanliness, safety, and branding standards across all vehicles.

Support accident/incident reporting and coordinate for insurance claims.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

1–4 years of experience in fleet management, taxi operations, or automobile service industry.

Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical knowledge.

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in shifts and handle field visits when required.

Proficiency in MS Excel and fleet management tools/GPS platforms.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
