Junior Bridge Design Engineer – Railway

0–3 years | Pure AutoCAD Design

Responsibilities 

·        Prepare GADs, RC detailing, and structural drawings for railway bridges using AutoCAD 2D Draft PSC girder, pier, abutment, and foundation drawings per mark-ups from senior engineers.

·        Ensure all drawings follow IRS/RDSO codes, SOD, and company CAD standards. Update drawings based on review comments from Railways.

·        Maintain drawing logs, revisions, and layer management in AutoCAD

·        Assist in preparing BOQ and drawing lists

Requirements 

B.E/B. Tech Civil Engineering

0–3 years of experience.

Freshers with AutoCAD internship/projects in bridges are welcome.

Strong AutoCAD 2D skills: xref, layouts, annotation scaling, CTB/plot styles.

Basic knowledge of the IRS Concrete Bridge Code, IRC:112No site

Senior Bridge Design Engineer – Railway

5+ years | Design Lead

Responsibilities 

·        Lead preparation of complete drawing sets for major railway bridges, ROBs, RUBs, and viaducts

·        Review and approve drawings prepared by junior engineers for technical accuracy

·        Interface with the structural analysis team to translate STAAD/MIDAS results into AutoCAD details

·        Ensure compliance with the latest RDSO BDS, IRS codes, IRC standards, and SOD for IR

·        Handle design submissions and technical queries with the Railways/RVNL

·        Develop standard details, CAD templates, and Auto LISP routines to improve efficiency

·        Mentor junior drafters on railway-specific detailing practices

Requirements 

B.E/B. Tech Civil, MTech Structures preferred

5+ years in railway bridge design using AutoCAD

Expert in AutoCAD + Civil 3D preferred. Knowledge of STAAD/MIDAS outputs is essential

Proven experience getting drawings approved by Zonal Railways

Strong grasp of IRS loading, PSC detailing, bearing/expansion joint systems

No site execution or construction supervision involved
