Role OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive (Inside Sales) to generate, qualify, and convert solar leads into customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging prospects through calls, emails, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings, understanding customer requirements, preparing proposals, and supporting the sales closure process.
- Key ResponsibilitiesLead ManagementContact and follow up with inbound and outbound leads.
- Qualify prospects based on energy consumption, property type, and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
- Customer ConsultationEducate customers about rooftop solar systems, benefits, ROI, subsidies, and net metering.
- Understand customer electricity consumption and requirements.
- Schedule site surveys with the technical team when required.
- Address customer queries and objections professionally.
- Sales & Business DevelopmentPrepare and share quotations and proposals.
- Coordinate with technical and operations teams for project feasibility.
- Follow up consistently to drive conversions.
- Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets.
- Support negotiations and assist in closing deals.
- Coordination & ReportingMaintain daily activity reports and sales updates.
- Track lead status, conversions, and revenue generated.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to improve lead conversion rates.
- Provide market feedback and customer insights.
- RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in inside sales, business development, tele-sales, or solar sales.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable handling customer calls and virtual consultations.
- Basic understanding of solar energy systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and CRM tools.
- Self-motivated and target-oriented.
- Preferred SkillsExperience in renewable energy or solar industry.
- Knowledge of rooftop solar economics and subsidy programs.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple language.
- Strong follow-up and relationship management skills.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Qualified leads generated.
- Site surveys scheduled.
- Proposal-to-order conversion rate.
