Job Description

  • Caretaker Roles & ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & AssistanceAssist patients/elderly individuals with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help with mobility support, including walking assistance and transferring from bed to chair.
  • Ensure the patient’s comfort and safety at all times.
  • Medication SupportRemind or assist patients in taking prescribed medicines as per schedule.
  • Monitor health conditions and report any changes to family members or healthcare professionals.
  • Meal Preparation & FeedingPrepare meals as per dietary requirements.
  • Assist in feeding patients if required.
  • Ensure proper hydration and nutrition.
  • Hygiene & CleanlinessMaintain personal hygiene of the patient.
  • Keep the patient’s room and surroundings clean and organized.
  • Change bed linens and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Companionship & Emotional SupportProvide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Engage in conversation and recreational activities to reduce loneliness.
  • Monitoring Health ConditionObserve and report changes in physical or mental health.
  • Monitor vital signs if trained (temperature, BP, sugar levels, etc.).
  • Household Assistance (if applicable)Perform light housekeeping related to patient care.
  • Assist with laundry and maintaining patient belongings.
  • Emergency HandlingRespond quickly during emergencies and inform family members or medical professionals immediately.
  • Follow emergency protocols when required.
  • Documentation & CommunicationMaintain daily updates regarding patient condition and activities.
  • Coordinate with family members and supervisors regarding care updates.
  1. Professional Conduct
  • Maintain punctuality, discipline, and respectful behavior.
  • Ensure confidentiality and privacy of the patient and family.
