Job Description
Job Title: Cashier
Location: Madhulokha Liquor Boutique, Bengaluru
Timings : 10 AM - 10:30 PM
Reports To: Store Manager
Job Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently and accurately while delivering excellent customer service. This role involves managing billing, assisting customers with purchases, ensuring compliance with legal regulations related to alcohol sales, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide a positive shopping experience
- Accurately process sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and digital payments securely
- Verify customer age to ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations
- Maintain knowledge of store products, promotions, and pricing
- Assist customers with product inquiries and basic recommendations
- Ensure proper billing, issuing receipts, and handling returns/exchanges as per policy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter and surrounding area
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Report discrepancies or suspicious activities to the Store Manager
- Follow all company policies and local laws related to alcohol sales
