Chumma Chai Cafe is looking for a hardworking and reliable Cafe Cook / Assistant Cook to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing snacks, quick bites, beverages, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.

The ideal candidate should have basic cooking knowledge, good hygiene practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cafe food items such as burgers, French fries, Maggi, samosas, pizza, sandwiches, and other snacks
• Assist in preparing tea, coffee, cold drinks, and other beverages when required
• Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation guidelines
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene at all times
• Check raw materials and inform the manager when stock is low
• Store food items properly and avoid wastage
• Support the team during busy hours
• Ensure food is prepared fresh, safely, and on time
• Clean cooking equipment, utensils, and workstations after use
• Follow basic food safety and hygiene standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, fast food outlet, or tea/snacks shop preferred
• Knowledge of preparing snacks like Maggi, burgers, fries, sandwiches, and pizza
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food handling
• Ability to work under pressure during rush hours
• Honest, punctual, and disciplined
• Willingness to learn and follow company recipes
• Freshers with basic cooking knowledge may also apply

Preferred Skills

• Experience in quick-service restaurants or cafe kitchens
• Ability to prepare both snacks and beverages
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of stock handling and kitchen cleaning
