Chef

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chinese Chef who can prepare authentic Chinese and Pan-Asian dishes with consistent taste and quality. The chef should have excellent wok cooking skills, maintain high hygiene standards, and work efficiently during busy service hours. 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Chinese starters, noodles, fried rice, gravies, soups, momos, and signature dishes.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
• Handle wok cooking and manage the Chinese kitchen independently.
• Prepare daily mise en place before service.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and minimize wastage.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor inventory and inform management about stock requirements.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
• Coordinate with the service team for smooth order execution.
• Develop new dishes and seasonal specials to improve the menu. 

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience as a Chinese Chef.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese sauces, seasonings, and cooking techniques.
• Expertise in wok cooking and high-volume restaurant operations.
• Ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
• Good understanding of food cost control and inventory management.
• Positive attitude and team player. 

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Pan-Asian cuisine.
• Menu development and recipe standardization.
• Kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
• Leadership and staff training.
