Customer Service Manager

A Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing assistance, information, and support to customers regarding products or services. Their duties include answering inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

- Answer customer queries: Respond to calls, emails, chats, or social media messages about products, services, orders, billing, or policies.

- Resolve complaints: Listen to customer issues, investigate problems, and find solutions quickly. Turn upset customers into satisfied ones.

- Process orders/returns: Help with placing orders, tracking shipments, processing refunds, exchanges, or cancellations.

- Maintain records: Log every interaction in CRM software like Salesforce or Zendesk so there’s a history of the customer’s issues.

- Product knowledge: Know the company’s products/services inside out so you can explain features, troubleshoot basic issues, and recommend solutions.

- Upsell/cross-sell: When appropriate, suggest relevant products or upgrades that genuinely help the customer.

- Meet KPIs: Hit targets for response time, resolution rate, customer satisfaction score (CSAT), and quality of interactions.

- Escalate when needed: Know when an issue is beyond your scope and route it to tech support, billing, or a supervisor.

- Follow company policies: Apply refund, privacy, and service policies consistently and fairly.
