Desktop Support Engineer

To provide on-site and remote technical support for laptops, desktops, and related IT hardware/software. The engineer ensures smooth operation, resolves breakdowns quickly, and delivers preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance customer satisfaction.

Installation & Setup

• Install and configure laptops, desktops, operating systems, and essential software.
• Set up user accounts, drivers, and network connectivity (LAN/Wi-Fi).

Maintenance & Repair

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues (motherboards, RAM, HDD/SSD, power supplies).
• Resolve software problems including OS errors, virus removal, and application support.
• Perform preventive maintenance (cleaning, updates, backups).

Customer Support

• Provide training to end-users on proper system usage and care.
• Respond promptly to service calls and ensure timely resolution.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain satisfaction.

Documentation & Reporting

• Record service activities, parts used, and resolution details.
• Maintain logs of system updates, repairs, and preventive checks.

Inventory & Coordination

• Manage spare parts and consumables inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for replacement parts and warranty claims.

Compliance & Safety

• Follow company and industry safety standards.
• Ensure proper handling of electronic components and data security protocols.
