Electrical Technician

Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus. Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications. Working for FMS and BMS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical Maintenance and Repairs:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, switches, circuit breakers, and panels.
• Perform routine maintenance of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and UPS systems.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and resolve issues to minimize downtime.

Preventive Maintenance:

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure all systems are in optimal working condition.

Building Systems Support:

• Maintain and repair electrical components of building systems, including elevators, HVAC systems, and fire alarms.
• Ensure the proper functioning of lighting systems, including replacement of bulbs and fixtures as needed.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and building codes.
• Follow safety protocols while performing maintenance tasks and encourage a safe work environment.
• Maintain and test emergency systems such as backup power and fire alarm systems.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections.
• Report any significant issues or necessary upgrades to the Maintenance Supervisor or Facility Manager.

Additional Requirements:

• Willing to work in rotational shifts, with one day week off, as per operational needs.
• Willing to travel to different locations for emergency situations or temporary support as required.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
• 0-2 years of experience in similar field
• Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently.
• Basic understanding of building systems like HVAC and fire alarms is a plus.
