Job Description
- Key Responsibilities1. Goods Receiving & InspectionReceive incoming shipments from vendors/suppliers.
- Verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect goods for damages or discrepancies and report issues.
- 2. Documentation & Data EntryRecord all inbound transactions in the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP.
- Maintain proper documentation such as GRN (Goods Receipt Note), invoices, and delivery challans.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry.
- 3. Inventory ManagementEnsure proper labeling, tagging, and storage of goods.
- Update stock records and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Assist in periodic stock counts and audits.
- 4. CoordinationCoordinate with procurement, logistics, and quality teams.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding discrepancies or returns.
- Work closely with outbound team for smooth operations.
- 5. Storage & Space ManagementOrganize warehouse space efficiently for easy access and safety.
- Follow FIFO / FEFO (First In First Out / First Expiry First Out) principles where applicable.
- 6. Compliance & SafetyFollow warehouse safety standards and company policies.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to avoid damage or loss.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
- Required Skills & QualificationsGraduate / Diploma in any field (Logistics or Supply Chain preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations (freshers may apply for entry-level roles).
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS/ERP).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
