Job Description

  • Key ResponsibilitiesCost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and budgets for interior design and fit-out projects based on drawings and specifications.
  • Material Take-offs: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for interior elements (e.g., flooring, ceiling, joinery, glasswork, MEP fixtures, and loose furniture).
  • Tender Management: Prepare tender documents, invite bids from subcontractors/vendors, evaluate submissions, and provide commercial recommendations.
  • Cost Control & Variations: Monitor project expenses against the approved budget. Identify, value, and negotiate variation orders (changes to the original scope of work).
  • Valuation & Certification: Assess progress on-site, verify subcontractor invoices, and prepare monthly valuation certificates and progress payment applications.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Source and negotiate competitive rates with suppliers and subcontractors while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Final Accounts: Manage the closure of project accounts, resolving any contractual disputes or outstanding financial claims amicably.
