Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose: 

Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the entire hospital facility to ensure that the daily operations are carried out without any challenges

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform boiler alarm tests, water tests and portable appliance tests (electrical)
• Carry out the maintenance and repairs of drains and sanitary ware, guttering and downpipes etc, and ensure plant rooms, workshops are kept in a safe and tidy condition
• Clear blockages in bedpan macerators, sinks, drains and toilets
• Handle renovation / repair works in the facility as and when needed
• Perform non-routine jobs as needed to ensure that the facility is in good condition
• Plan and organize daily work and coordinate with other members of the department and hospital staff to resolve any infrastructural issues
• Perform daily rounds to take note of potential damages or avoid complaints and maintaining proper checklist
• Accurately report the defects on a weekly basis to Facility Manager by clearly stating and highlighting faults and potential problems
• Participate actively in the planned preventative maintenance exercise

Job Specifications:

• Qualification: ITI 
• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in related industry and managing facility and equipment
• Technical Skills: Knowledge on electrical equipment and maintenance, proficiency in using all workshop equipment
• Management Skills: team player, maintain good people relations, practice conflict resolution 
• Communication Skills: Good command over Kannada. Ability to resolve problems through effective communication
