Job Description
A pest control technician is a field service professional responsible for identifying, managing, and eliminating infestations in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Core Responsibilities
Property Inspections: Conduct thorough interior and exterior assessments to locate pests and identify conducive conditions or entry points.
Treatment Implementation: Design and execute customized treatment plans using methods like chemical spraying, baiting, trapping, or exclusion (sealing cracks with foam/mesh).
Safety & Compliance: Apply EPA-approved pesticides and chemicals according to strict label instructions and safety protocols, including the use of PPE like respirators.
Client Education: Advise customers on sanitation, maintenance, and long-term prevention strategies to reduce the risk of re-infestation.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of services rendered, chemicals used, and billable hours via mobile reporting applications.
