Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all costs relating to building and interior fit-out projects, from the initial calculations to the final accounts. Your goal will be to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

• Key ResponsibilitiesCost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates, initial budget drafts, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for civil and interior works.
• Tender Management: Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
• Vendor Management: Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and manage the procurement of specialized interior materials.
• Site Visits: Undertake site visits for measurement and preparation of progress reports.
• Valuations: Prepare interim valuations and final accounts; manage variations and change orders effectively.
• Reporting: Provide regular project cost reports and forecasts to management.
• Technical Skills & RequirementsSoftware Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and cost estimation software (like CostPoint or similar).
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction materials, interior fit-out costs, and labor rates.
• Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical ability and a methodical approach to work.
• Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project profitability.
