Job Description (JD) – Receptionist cum TelecallerPosition: Receptionist cum TelecallerDepartment: Front Office / Patient RelationsLocation: Hospital / ClinicReporting To: Front Office Manager / Administration ManagerJob SummaryThe Receptionist cum Telecaller is responsible for managing front desk operations, attending patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, handling incoming and outgoing calls, and ensuring a positive experience for patients and visitors. The role requires excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to coordinate effectively with various hospital departments.Key ResponsibilitiesReception DutiesWelcome and assist patients, visitors, and attendants professionally.Manage patient registrations and maintain accurate records.Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.Guide patients regarding consultations, treatments, and hospital services.Maintain the reception area in a clean and organized manner.Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other departments for smooth patient flow.Handle billing-related inquiries and direct patients to the concerned department.Telecalling DutiesAnswer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries courteously.Make outbound calls for appointment confirmations, follow-ups, and feedback collection.Inform patients about hospital services, health camps, promotions, and special programs.Maintain daily call records and update patient information in the system.Follow up with leads generated through advertisements, social media, and referrals.Escalate patient concerns and complaints to the appropriate department.QualificationsAny Graduate / Diploma.Minimum 1–3 years of experience in reception, customer service, telecalling, or hospital front office operations.Experience in healthcare or hospital industry is preferred.Skills RequiredExcellent communication skills in English, Kannada, Hindi, and regional languages preferred.Good interpersonal and customer service skills.Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, email, and hospital management software).Ability to multitask and handle high call volumes.Professional appearance and positive attitude.Strong organizational and coordination skills.Working ConditionsRotational shifts as per hospital requirements.May be required to work on weekends and holidays as scheduled.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Patient satisfaction and service quality.Appointment conversion and follow-up success rate.Accuracy of patient registration and records.Timely response to patient inquiries.Call handling efficiency and attendance.Salary: As per company standards and experience.Job Type: Full-time.
