Job Description
Role Overview -
The Receptionist is the first point of contact at Therpup Resort Sarjapur and plays a key role in creating a warm, organized, and pet-friendly guest experience. The role includes front-desk operations, handling inquiries, bookings, and basic billing support.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Guest Handling
- Greet guests, pet parents, and visitors politely
- Handle walk-in inquiries for café, pet boarding, day-care, and events
- Manage pet and guest check-in and check-out
Calls, WhatsApp & Inquiries
- Answer phone calls and respond to WhatsApp inquiries
- Share accurate information about services and pricing
- Schedule bookings and visits
Booking & Records
- Maintain daily records of boarding, day-care, café reservations, and events
- Update registers / Google Sheets / software accurately
Billing & Payments
- Assist with basic billing and collect payments (Cash, UPI, Card)
- Issue bills/receipts and maintain daily payment records
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with pet handlers, café staff, housekeeping, and management
- Share guest and pet requirements clearly
Reception Area & Discipline
- Keep reception area clean and organized
- Follow hygiene, safety, and pet-handling guidelines
Guest Support
- Handle minor guest issues politely
- Escalate serious concerns to the Resort Manager
- Skills & RequirementsGood communication skills (English + Hindi / Kannada preferred)
- Basic computer and smartphone knowledge
- Comfortable around dogs and cats
- Polite, organized, and customer-focused
- Working Expectations - Willing to work weekends and holidays
- Punctual, responsible, and well-groomed
