Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales, and manage staff. The candidate should have strong leadership skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to handle store performance independently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day store activities and ensure smooth functioning
- Maintain store cleanliness, display standards, and visual merchandising
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed
- Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability at all times
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets
- Drive in-store promotions and upselling strategies
- Analyze sales reports and identify improvement areas
- Plan and execute sales campaigns to increase footfall
3. Inventory & Stock Control
- Manage inventory, stock inward/outward, and stock audits
- Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for timely replenishment
- Minimize stock loss, damage, and pilferage
- Maintain accurate stock records and reports
4. Team Management
- Supervise, train, and motivate store staff
- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback
- Ensure discipline and a positive work environment
5. Customer Service
- Ensure excellent customer experience in-store
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations
- Build long-term relationships with customers
- Maintain high service standards at all times
6. Billing & Cash Handling
- Supervise billing processes and ensure accuracy
- Manage cash flow, daily collections, and deposits
- Ensure proper use of POS systems and reporting
7. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Coordinate with management for business updates
- Ensure compliance with safety and legal regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good understanding of sales principles and customer service
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems and billing software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
