Job Description
An Agency Development Manager (ADM) is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a network of sales agents or financial advisors. Primarily found in the insurance, financial services, and advertising sectors, they drive revenue by empowering their team to meet business targets, sell company products, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Proactively recruit, interview, and onboard new insurance/sales agents to build a high-performing team.
- Training & Development: Conduct product training, sales coaching, and field demonstrations to equip agents with necessary selling skills.
- Target Achievement: Manage and drive the team to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly business targets and premium collections.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as agent productivity, persistency ratios, and sales-mix targets, while implementing strategies to bridge performance gaps.
- Relationship Management: Accompany agents on customer visits to support high-value pitches and build strong long-term relationships with clients.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales practices, customer interactions, and agent activities adhere to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Ideal Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in sales, channel development, or team management (preferably in the BFSI sector or advertising agencies).
- Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, talent sourcing and interviewing capabilities, and a proven track record of target-driven results.
