Senior Accountant

Position :US Accountant / Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping for US-based clients.
2. Perform day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
3. Handle month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
4. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and credit card transactions.
5. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
6. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial transactions.
7. Communicate directly with US clients to address queries and provide regular updates.
8. Identify accounting discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
9. Support audit, compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
10. Manage intercompany transactions and perform related reconciliations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
2. Hands-on experience in US Accounting.
3. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
4. Experience handling month-end and year-end close processes.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to independently manage client interactions and relationships.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with Shopify accounting and reconciliations.
2. Exposure to Stripe payment processing and reconciliations.
3. Experience handling Amazon Seller accounting.
4. Knowledge of payroll processing platforms such as Gusto, ADP, or other third-party payroll systems.
5. Experience working in a multi-client accounting environment will be an added advantage.
