Job Title: Service Engineer – Vending Machines

Department: Technical Service

Reporting To: Service Manager / Operations Manager

Location: Bangalore(KR Puram, electronic city)

Experience: 0–3 Years (Vending Machines / Electrical / Mechanical Service)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Service Engineer – Vending Machines to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair vending machines at customer locations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems, with strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently in field service environments. Typical field service engineer responsibilities include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and configure vending machines at client locations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of vending machines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues related to:
• Payment systems / cashless payment devices
• Cooling systems / refrigeration units
• Electrical wiring and power supply
• Sensors, motors, and dispensing mechanisms
• Touchscreen / control panel issues
• Repair or replace defective components and spare parts.
• Attend service calls and breakdown complaints within defined SLA timelines.
• Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, and spare parts usage records.
• Conduct machine health checks and recommend preventive actions.
• Coordinate with warehouse / spare parts team for parts availability.
• Train customers or site representatives on basic machine operation.
• Ensure machines meet hygiene, safety, and operational standards.
• Escalate recurring technical issues to the technical support / engineering team.
• Support machine relocation, upgrades, and refurbishment activities.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Mechanical repairs
• Basic electronics
• Refrigeration / cooling systems (preferred)
• Payment device troubleshooting
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Basic computer / mobile app usage for service reporting
• Good communication and customer handling skills
• Ability to travel extensively for field service visits

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Mechatronics
• Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

Preferred Experience

• Experience in vending machines or other automated equipment.
• Experience handling field service operations.

Additional Requirements

• Two-wheeler with valid driving license (Allowance will be given)
• Willingness to work flexible shifts / weekends if required
• Ability to handle emergency breakdown calls
