Technical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. SPIR & Part List Management

- Prepare and validate Spare Parts Interchangeability Records (SPIR) for various global plants and projects.

- Develop detailed part lists specifically for severe-service valves and actuators.

- Ensure 100% technical accuracy in part identification to support plant maintenance.

2. Costing & Commercial Support

- Prepare comprehensive Cost Sheets for spare parts and upgrades.

- Collaborate with global factories to initiate and manage cost requests.

- Analyze pricing structures to ensure competitive and accurate quotes for the sales team.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Coordinate with Salesforce (SFDC), Engineering, and Outside Sales teams to improve asset data and SPIR quality.

- Liaise with manufacturing units to resolve technical or pricing discrepancies.

4. Training & Reporting

- Participate in and eventually lead training sessions on RFQ processes, costing, and system upgrades.

- Generate and validate monthly reports for catalog tasks and team performance.

- Support the team in asset creation and maintaining the global parts catalog.

Technical Skills:

- Engineering Fundamentals: Strong understanding of Mechanical/Instrumentation components.

- Data Management: Proficiency in Advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, data validation).

- Documentation: Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) and Technical Analysis (TA).

Soft Skills:

- Communication: Ability to draft professional emails, generate reports, and lead cross-functional meetings.

- Project Management: Proven ability to multitask—handling RFQs, SPIR updates, and catalog tasks simultaneously.

- Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail regarding technical specifications and pricing accuracy.
