Job Description

Work in close coordination with the Senior Accountant in Qatar in delivering support and excellence in the following areas.

1. Accounts Payable

• Process invoices from material suppliers, equipment hires, and service providers.
• Reconcile vendor and subcontractor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and procurement teams for invoice approvals.
• Process supplier and subcontractor payments.
• Track PDCs, advances and prepayments ensuring timely closure.

2. Job Cost Accounting

• Ensure proper allocation of costs to projects, sites, and cost codes.
• Capitalization of asset-related invoices.
• Maintain records for project-wise expenses and supporting documents.
• Assist in monthly closing activities and MIS preparation.

3. Statutory requirements

• Ensure compliance with WHT and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audits.

4. Banking related matters

• Make timely payments via bank transfers, cheques, or WPS.
• Cash and Bank reconciliations.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
• 2–5 years of relevant experience preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, financial models).
• High attention to detail and adherence to process.
• Strong follow-up, communication, and coordination skills

Additional Information

• Experience working with contracting, infrastructure, or real estate development companies.
