Analyst, Operations Risk & Compliance

About the Role:

Support Strategic Implementation and Performance Monitoring

  • Work closely with management to understand team goals and translate strategic plans into actionable tasks and projects
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against strategic priorities
  • Provide regular feedback to ensure alignment with team objectives and organizational risk management goals

Collaborate on Day-to-Day Risk Management Activities

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management practices into daily operations
  • Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with business units
  • Ensure consistent application and adherence to risk management policies across the organization
  • Support the implementation of risk controls and monitoring solutions

Prepare High-Quality Periodic Reports and Risk Intelligence

  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize data to create comprehensive reports for relevant committees and forums
  • Develop clear, accurate reports that reflect the team's performance and risk management activities
  • Present findings and insights to support informed decision-making by senior leadership
  • Utilize business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to enhance reporting effectiveness and visualization

Facilitate Risk Awareness and Training

  • Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on risk management principles and practices
  • Promote a risk-aware culture across the organization through targeted awareness initiatives
  • Encourage proactive risk identification and management at all organizational levels
  • Communicate complex risk concepts in accessible terms to diverse audiences

Build and Maintain Stakeholder Relationships

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between the risk team and business units to facilitate effective communication
  • Understand and address stakeholder needs and concerns regarding risk management
  • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable business insights

Leverage Data Analytics for Enhanced Risk Insights

  • Utilize data analytics techniques to identify emerging risk patterns and trends in operational data
  • Support the development of automated reporting processes to improve efficiency and timeliness
  • Explore opportunities to apply technology solutions (including AI/ML tools) for risk monitoring and early warning indicators
  • Work with data and technology teams to enhance risk detection capabilities through analytical approaches

About You:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in operational risk assessments / control testing / internal audit.
  • Collecting and analyzing risk-related data.
  • Assisting in the preparation of initial risk assessment reports.
  • Supporting the implementation of risk mitigation measures.
  • Maintaining risk management documentation and systems.
  • Participating in risk management meetings and workshops.
  • Assisting in the monitoring of risk management plans and strategies.
  • Helping to identify emerging risks and trends.
  • Knowledge and usage of AI / ML tools is preferred
