As the firm’s primary investment area, we provide investment and advisory services for some of the world’s leading pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors and individuals, for which we oversee more than $2 trillion in assets under supervision. Working in a culture that values integrity and transparency, you will be part of a diverse team that is passionate about our craft, our clients, and building sustainable success. We are:
- Investors, spanning traditional and alternative markets offering products and services
- Advisors, understanding our clients’ priorities and poised to help provide investment advice and strategies that make sense for their portfolios
- Thought Leaders, providing timely insights across macro and secular themes to help inform our clients’ investment decisions
- Innovators, using our suite of digital solutions to help our clients address complex challenges and meet their financial goals
OPERATIONS
Operations partners with all areas of Goldman Sachs to deliver our institutional, consumer and asset management businesses and to provide seamless experience for our clients. We manage and process our clients’ business, including onboarding, post-trade processing and regulatory compliance. Our teams work closely across the firm to develop and deliver new products and services, while mitigating operational risk and enhancing the client experience. We drive process and technology change to scale and automate our businesses. Operations professionals are either embedded in the business segment or division that they support, or they support multiple businesses and are part of core Operations.
YOUR IMPACT
The Private Wealth Management Custody Uplift Operations Team is seeking a Vice President to play a senior leadership role in driving a front-to-back overhaul of the PWM custody platform, subledger, and user interfaces. Specifically, you will own and lead core requirements building, testing, execution and validation on workflows being migrated, serving as a key point of accountability in collaboration with Engineering, Product, and functional Operations stakeholders. From asset transfer browsers and cash management to data feeds, you will define and deliver system enhancements at scale to improve quality of life for both Operations and client-facing teams. Additionally, you will oversee and provide governance for data reconciliation efforts within existing subledgers and ensure minimal discrepancies upon migration to upgraded recordkeeping and database infrastructure
OUR IMPACT
Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.
The Operational Transformation team is focused on aligning all aspects of PWM custody to more scalable, flexible, and functional platforms. With substantially growing client volumes, the team endeavors to deliver robust solutions to accommodate increasingly complex client needs. The team is critical to maintaining collaboration, relationships, and execution amongst all stakeholders to ensure a better platform for all.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Develop a strong working understanding of the existing PWM custody infrastructure, including ledgers, subledgers, workflows, user interfaces, and operational pain points.
- Support the agile delivery process by contributing to requirements definition, user stories, testing, and acceptance criteria in partnership with Product and Engineering teams.
- Partner with Engineering and Design to help deliver scalable, resilient, and user‑centric solutions for internal users.
- Perform data analysis and support reconciliation efforts, following best practices for documentation, controls, and issue tracking.
- Assist with pre‑ and post‑migration data validation activities, helping to identify, escalate, and resolve discrepancies.
- Track and communicate progress across assigned workstreams, highlighting risks, dependencies, and issues to senior team members.
- Collaborate effectively across Product, Engineering, and Operations teams, contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
