Assistant Manager - BIW
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Design, develop, and release BIW sheet‑metal components using CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly, GSD, Drafting, and FTA).
- Create master sections, engineering surfaces, and detailed CAD models aligned to functional, packaging, and manufacturing requirements.
- Apply sheet‑metal design principles, GD&T, and manufacturing methodologies to ensure robustness, producibility, and quality of released parts.
- Manage design data, BOMs, and part releases in Teamcenter PLM, including DMU reviews and visualization for interference and fitment validation.
- Incorporate client and program requirement changes into designs, ensuring timely updates, consistency, and release accuracy.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and cross‑functional teams to resolve technical issues, support development milestones, and ensure smooth product realization.
