Assistant Manager-GDC

 Roles & responsibilities 
Responsible for engineering excellence, application resiliency planning, performance optimization, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning for Audit portfolio applications. In addition, the team manages application upgrades, deployments, and operational activities related to change and incident management. We play a critical role in operating and supporting end‑to‑end service delivery for the Audit business. 
We are seeking a self‑motivated, growth‑oriented, and detail‑focused Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is critical and involves close collaboration with global teams and internal IT partners to build, operate, and continuously improve our environments through automation and tooling.
Deploy, configure, secure, and monitor Azure services using Azure DevOps pipelines.
Apply innovative thinking and automation to enhance workflows, improve efficiency, and streamline technology deployments.
Take ownership of projects and tasks from inception through completion, with sound judgment on when escalation is required.
Participate in a 24x7x365 on‑call rotation, monitoring production systems to ensure availability, resiliency, and performance in line with defined SLAs.
Respond promptly to monitoring alerts and operational incidents.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to C# / ASP.NET applications and Azure PaaS services.
Collaborate effectively with internal IT teams and business stakeholders to support operational and project needs.
Create, maintain, and update system, process, and infrastructure documentation.
Perform additional job‑related duties as required, including supporting audit activities such as evidence collection.

Mentor junior engineers in deployment best practices, operational readiness, and incident handling.
Continuously improve deployment automation, release efficiency, and platform reliability by adopting modern DevOps practices and tools.
Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) tools and services is a plus, with the ability to integrate them into cloud-native workflows.

Mandatory  technical & functional skills
Hands‑on experience in automation (PowerShell) and strong knowledge of Azure PaaS services such as AKS, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL, and WAF.
Solid experience in DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation, with hands‑on usage of Azure DevOps (ADO).
Strong understanding of cloud architecture (compute, storage, networking) and monitoring (availability, performance, diagnostics, and logs).
Proven SQL expertise including Always On, replication, performance tuning, backup/restore, stored procedures, and query optimization.
Good C# / ASP.NET debugging skills and experience with Visual Studio and SQL Server Data Tools.
Strong ownership mindset with excellent communication skills; able to troubleshoot escalations, identify root cause, and drive issues to closure.
Passionate continuous learner, comfortable handling complex tasks and supporting escalated incidents.
Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) is a plus.

 This role is for you if you have  the below
Educational qualifications 
BSc/BCA/MSc/MCA/B.Tech.
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in cloud first MS Azure infrastructures.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Advanced technical skills.
Excellent documentation skills.
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
