Assistant Manager-GDC
Roles & responsibilities
This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and controlled movement of software releases from Development to Production. Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and overseeing software release activities while strictly adhering to established governance, compliance, and process standards.
Collaborate across multiple projects, working closely with IT and business stakeholders to support mission‑critical application deployments.
Coordinate with technical and product teams to schedule and manage testing and release activities across environments, including Dev, QA, Staging, and Production.
Provide strong troubleshooting and analytical support for production issues, ensuring minimal impact to business operations.
Manage client relationships by maintaining high standards of service quality and delivering reliable technical solutions.
Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating accountability and ownership of deliverables.
Communicate professionally and effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Build in‑depth knowledge of systems from both technical and business perspectives.
Apply hands‑on experience in technical change and release management processes.
Collaborate with application, architecture, security, and business teams to coordinate release schedules and minimize deployment risk
Drive cost optimization and performance tuning related to deployed workloads.
Lead cloud migration and rollout activities, including cutover planning and production go‑live support.
Maintain clear deployment documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Mentor junior engineers in deployment best practices, operational readiness, and incident handling.
Continuously improve deployment automation, release efficiency, and platform reliability by adopting modern DevOps practices and tools.
Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) tools and services is a plus, with the ability to integrate them into cloud-native workflows.

Mandatory technical & functional skills
Minimum of 7+ years of experience supporting large‑scale enterprise applications.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM/workflow management tools.
Familiarity with application deployments through DevOps pipelines and automation frameworks.
Experience across the full project lifecycle, including planning, application implementation, and development of operational support procedures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels; capable of prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities.
Demonstrated strength in troubleshooting, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Proven problem‑solving skills, sound independent judgment, and a customer‑focused mindset, with the ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with peers and cross‑functional teams.

Educational qualifications
BSc/BCA/MSc/MCA/B.Tech.
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in cloud first MS Azure infrastructures.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Advanced technical skills.
Excellent documentation skills.
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
