Assistant Manager-GDC - Solution Lead – Infra Curiosity

Roles & responsibilities 
Role Overview : : We are seeking a versatile and skilled Cloud and Application Support Engineer to join our technical infrastructure team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the "Curiosity" application, a container-based solution hosted on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Linux administration, containerization technologies like Podman/Docker, and broad experience with the Azure cloud platform. In addition to supporting the core application, this role will provide technical support for various integrated database systems and automation tools, requiring knowledge of SQL, Python, and Windows Server administration.
The professional will be responsible for:
Responsibility
Manage and troubleshoot the Curiosity application, a containerized (Podman) solution running on Azure Linux servers.
Investigate container logs, diagnose service failures, and perform root cause analysis.
Execute application version upgrades and install vendor-provided patches, including editing configuration files and managing container images.
Perform routine Linux administration tasks, including disk space management, performance monitoring, and creating automated alerts for container services. 
Manage and troubleshoot core application services (VIP services) running on Azure Windows VMs. 
Apply patches to Windows services and maintain PowerShell-based monitoring scripts.
Understand and manage the application's connectivity to its backend databases, including a local Postgres SQL instance and Azure SQL Server (PaaS). 
Assist in troubleshooting data access and performance issues for jobs reading from or writing to backend databases.
Support the configuration and management of on-premise SQL Server instances hosted on Azure VMs.
Manage application and infrastructure access using Azure Active Directory (AAD) groups. - Coordinate with CloudOps, security, and other internal teams for infrastructure changes, access provisioning, and issue resolution.

Provide support for miscellaneous Azure services such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Key Vault.
Leverage SQL and Python skills to support data-related tasks and automation scripts for various integrated tools.
Manage the installation, licensing, and configuration of third-party applications like Alteryx on Windows VMs.

Development Support –
Maintaining the accurate and up to date project status for self and any assigned team member.
Prepare and review required documents supporting the project with utmost attention to details.
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Ensure security compliance by applying best practices for container hardening and Azure resource governance. 
Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution for critical applications. 
Optimize container orchestration and explore migration to Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) if required. 
Automate routine tasks using Python scripts, PowerShell, or Azure Automation. 
Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing. 
Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
Ensure that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained

Lead projects –
Lead / participate in firm’s strategic initiatives and/or corporate social responsibility programs
Experience working in leading audit firms with proven project management skills — managing teams on multiple projects in client-facing roles
Drive ideas related to efficiencies, compliance and projects
Sound understanding of various internal frameworks and guidelines; ensuring adherence of self and team

Education Requirements
B. Tech (Computer Science / Information Technology) OR 
MBA (Systems/ IT// Data & Analytics/ SCM) along with Engineering (Computer Science, IT) OR
MCA (Master’s in Computer Applications) 
Proven experience in a Technical Support, DevOps, or Systems Engineer role.
Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
