Assistant Manager SAP BW Admin

Incident Management: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and functional issues related to SAP BW, using ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) to track and manage incidents.

User Support and Training: Provide timely support to end-users, address operational issues, and conduct training sessions for new features or processes.
•
System Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor the performance and availability of the BW environment, data models, and queries. Proactively identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to ensure optimal system performance and data integrity.

Change Management: Evaluate demands, implement approved changes and enhancements, and ensure all configurations and customizations are properly tested and documented before deployment into production.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, troubleshooting procedures, and incident resolutions. Report on support metrics like Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development teams, IT operations, and business stakeholders (e.g., finance, supply chain) to address complex issues and align solutions with business needs.

Root Cause Analysis: Perform thorough root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes to prevent future incidents.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of SAP BW and SAC features. Experience with data integration from various sources like SAP SAC, S/4HANA, and non-SAP systems is essential.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly diagnose complex issues, perform debugging, and find effective solutions under pressure.
•
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•
Experience: Typically requires several years of experience in SAP support or a related technical support role, with specific hands-on experience in SAP BW and 4SAC preferred.
•
Relevant Knowledge: Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL and experience with database concepts (SQL) are often beneficial.
