Associate 2

Roles & responsibilities 
Responsible for service delivery and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of Independence requests undertaken by self
Ability to apply an understanding of the applicable independence rules and regulations, and provide basic guidance requiring application of judgment to junior staff
Perform independence technical research; interpret and apply the results of that research to different fact patterns in order to reach conclusions; display an intermediate understanding of the impact of decisions on Audit, Advisory or Tax engagement teams, as well as clients.
Display a deep level of understanding of permissibility of different services and its impact on the Audit practice and broader firm.
Escalate all unaddressed issues identified on a timely basis to the GDC managers and Onshore teams, as well as seek possible resolution from them
Provide complete and accurate deliverables to the Engagement Team
Demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills, working efficiently without comprising on quality
Demonstrate professionalism, industry competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the Onshore teams
Develop self by participating in Independence conceptual trainings
Actively participate in overall performance development and feedback process at GDC
Actively get involved on business and Independence specific knowledge development initiatives at GDC

Mandatory  technical & functional skills
Advanced knowledge of Independence rules and regulations and understanding the various Scope of Services
IT literacy with sound knowledge and experience of Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint

Strong verbal/written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; must be able to prioritize and work closely with other high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork. 
Solid trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrate ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment and meet necessary deadlines.
Demonstrates good research skills and confident ability to apply good judgment/decision-making, while exercising professional skepticism
Personable - ability to build professional working relationships with team members, engagement teams, support staff and with the wider KPMG network

 

This role is for you if you have  the below
Educational qualifications 
Post-Graduation from an accredited college or university (MBA/M. Com); Professional Chartered Accountancy qualification (e.g. CA. Intern/CA/ICAI /ACCA/CPA),CS,LLB preferred
Work experience
2 – 4 years of experience with either risk initiatives, Independence, or audit experience.
