Associate Director - Internal Audit & Controls

     We are recruiting for a Associate Director in the KDN Internal Audit & Controls team who will be responsible to grow the practice by onboarding KPMG Member Firms and embedding KDN in client delivery. This would require engagement with KPMG Member Firms to educate them on KDN capabilities, solutions offered and collaboration with pursuit/engagement teams to help with pre-sales activities including proposals and solutioning.

     In addition, the responsibility would also involve leading key engagements from delivery standpoint. This would require owning the delivery end to end which would include understanding and setting up the project, stakeholder engagement, driving quality and ensuring timely delivery within defined budget.

Key responsibilities (Solutioning & Sales Enablement):

Understanding Internal Audit & Controls footprint across Member Firms: Engage with KPMG Member Firms’ leaders and solution champions to understand client requirements, market trends and services in demand.

  Support Sales Enablement: Engage with pursuit teams and support in developing proposals and solutioning for delivery. Further, support the Member Firms in their Go to Market (GTM) strategy through creating marketing collaterals including case studies, credentials and toolkits. Maintain central repository for all marketing, sales and proposal collateral. 

  Develop Delivery Strategy: Engage with the project team and develop solution options in alignment with the client requirement. This may include outlining delivery model (onshore vs offshore), technology considerations, ways of working, roles and responsibilities and project governance amongst other elements.

Support Demand Forecasting: Engage with pursuit and engagement teams to understand pipeline and forecast demand across solutions/levels. This includes assessing required skills, available capacity and hiring as required.

Drive KDN growth: Educate KPMG member Firms on KDN capabilities, solutions and skillsets and onboard Member Firms to the KDN platform for Internal Audit & Controls. Further build partner networks and grow a team culture that focuses on successful and persistent client/ inter-firm relationships leading to growth of KDN.

Key responsibilities (Client Service, People Management & Training):

Lead client projects: Set-up, establish and lead teams for delivery of key client projects across multiple geographies. This would involve owning the project end to end and ensuring timely and quality delivery. This would include engagement with senior onshore and client stakeholders as well as quality assurance in addition to managing people.

  People Management & Mentoring: Lead team members and act as a performance manager and mentor for a set of team members. Mentor and guide them to help them in upskilling and achieve their career aspirations.. 

  Learning & Development: Identify, design and deliver trainings to the wider team to help them in upskilling and being able to deliver across multiple projects with broader roles & responsibilities. 

 

Work experience

The candidate must have 10+years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably with a Big 4 firm.Prior experience in solutioning and proposals is mandatoryGreat ability to understand and storyboard in the form of presentationsAbility to manage and build relationships with senior stakeholdersProven experience managing offshore or cross-border teams in a delivery-focused roleStrong understanding of internal audits and internal controls

Internal Audit & Controls: Strong knowledge of internal audits and internal controls with rich experience in leading /serving clients across multiple geographiesSolutioning oriented mindset: Ability to identify and design solutions for proposals and other opportunitiesStoryboarding: Ability to story board and structure the thoughts in the form of presentationsArtificial Intelligence: A broader understanding of AI abilities and experience in developing and implementing use casesCommunication: Clear and concise verbal and written communication, especially when interacting with global senior stakeholders.Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with senior leaders/clients and develop long term relationshipsPeople Management: Experience in supervising and developing offshore teams, including performance management and coaching.Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly to manage multiple time-zonesProject Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives to tight deadlines.
