Your Responsibilities:
We are looking for a cloud-focused Automation Engineer to join ADM’s Global Information & Cyber Security (GICS), Security Architecture & Engineering team!
The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated systems and pipelines that improve the efficiency, repeatability, and security of development and operational workflows. This role integrates automation across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, security services and platforms, cloud security, and compliance processes. The engineer will align with industry frameworks to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient delivery of software and systems.
- Develop and maintain automation tooling to enhance visibility, enforce security best practices, and streamline processes.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure seamless adoption of security automation.
- Identify manual, repetitive operational tasks, catalog and track and automate them using scripting, pipelines, or orchestration tools.
- Embed health checks, observability, and failure recovery into automated infrastructure and application delivery.
- Develop, and Automate metrics collection and integrate with incident management platforms (e.g., PagerDuty, Prometheus, Grafana, or manul).
- Use automation to generate logs, metrics, and artifacts for incident review and continuous learning.
- Continuously refine automation strategies to optimize security effectiveness and reduce manual overhead.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell, KQl.
- Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitOps workflows).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Exposure to security automation (e.g., SAST/DAST/SCA tools, secrets scanning, compliance-as-code).
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk).
- RESTful API integration and automation of third-party services.
- Current holder of Certified Automation Professional or Equivalent Automation credentials.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure.
- Communication: Translate technical risks into business impact for stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work across teams to embed security into engineering culture.
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with Lifecycle and licensing within cloud environments.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in automation, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Proven experience in automating software deployments and environment provisioning.
