Job Description: Agentic AI Consultant – Healthcare Domain

Role Overview

We are seeking an Agentic AI Consultant – Healthcare with a strong foundation in healthcare domain knowledge (payer and/or provider) and hands-on experience designing and applying AI/LLM-driven agents to automate healthcare workflows and enhance decision support.

The ideal candidate will combine a healthcare-first mindset with applied expertise in LLMs, AI orchestration, and workflow automation, translating complex clinical and operational problems into safe, scalable, and compliant AI-enabled solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Translate healthcare business problems into AI-enabled use cases suitable for agent-based automation.
• Design and implement AI/LLM-driven agents to support clinical and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and business SMEs to map workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Apply LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and workflow orchestration techniques.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI and adherence to responsible AI and data privacy standards.
• Partner with data engineering, platform, and architecture teams to integrate AI agents into healthcare systems.
• Support development of AI-enabled clinical and operational decision-support tools.
• Document solution designs, AI workflows, risks, and implementation guidelines.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in healthcare domain roles (payer and/or provider).
• Hands-on experience or strong applied understanding of Agentic AI concepts, LLMs, and orchestration.
• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows such as care management, utilization management, or clinical documentation.
• Experience translating healthcare requirements into AI-enabled automation or decision-support solutions.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare data privacy, and regulatory considerations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consulting communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with U.S. healthcare payers, providers, or large health systems.
• Exposure to clinical documentation, care coordination, or healthcare operations.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR or HL7.
• Experience delivering AI-enabled decision-support solutions.
• Prior consulting or client-facing experience.
