Responsibilities Collecting and preparing data - identify the business data needed to produce the most useful insights. Understand the data sources and availability for solution. Building the analytics engine - ensure the solution solves the business problem in the most efficient and interpretable form for business users. Working with data scientist – to understand the business problem and design a suitable solution/ model to solve it. Validating and deriving business implications - synthesize complex analytics-derived insights into easy-to-understand, actionable recommendations that business users can easily extract and execute on. Implementing the solution and executing on insights - drive adoption among business users. Oversee the development of application to use the model and increase its adoption by internal marketing and incentives to the users. Requirements Qualification – BTech/ BE/ BSc/ BStat/ MCA/ BA (Economics) from a reputed institute. MBA/ PGDM is preferred. Experience – 2-6 years of experience in a similar role with a leading bank / NBFC / E – Commerce / Retail/ Manufacturing/ Telecom Company is required. Technical skillsets- Hands-on experience of Python/ R and Advanced Excel. Candidate should possess basic knowledge of SQL and SAS. Visualisation skills are an added advantage. Should be very comfortable with Data manipulation, Data wrangling, Exploratory Data Analysis, Visualisation, etc. Theoretical knowledge of atleast two supervised and two unsupervised learning algorithms. He/she should have clarity on regression, classification and clustering techniques. Should be able to use Libraries and Packages such as o R: dplyr, tidyr, ggplot2, stringr, caret, etc o Python: numpy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, sklearn, re, etc. Domain knowledge – Basic understanding of terminologies used in banking industry and knowledge of various banking products. Additionally, knowledge of common use cases (e.g., default predictions, segmentation etc.) in banking and financial services/ telecom/ ecommerce is important. General technical fluency – Must possess strong acumen in quantitative analytics and structured problem solving. Good problem solving skills, ability to build storylines & recommendations for business stakeholder consumption i.e. Ability to “Think in Math, Speak in English”. Presentation – should be good at verbal communication as well as presenting the findings in a lucid manner to the business users.
