Help Build the Intelligence Layer of Commercial Banking

Commercial banking is undergoing a fundamental shift from manual decision making to data-driven operations.

Across underwriting, collections and relationship management, thousands of operational decisions are made every day — often based on fragmented information and manual processes.

Kotak’s Commercial Banking division is investing in building a new Data & AI capability to transform how these decisions are made.

The goal is to build data products and decision systems that help teams:

• prioritize the most important actions
• understand risk earlier
• allocate operational resources more effectively
• improve productivity across the lending lifecycle

Business Analysts play a central role in this transformation.

 

The Role

Business Analysts will be embedded within cross-functional product pods that include Product Managers, Data Scientists and Data Engineers.

You will work closely with these teams to translate complex operational problems into analytical frameworks and product insights.

This role sits at the intersection of data, product and operations.

 

What You Will Work On

Examples of problems you may work on include:

Collections Intelligence

Understanding which delinquent accounts are most likely to recover and which require immediate operational intervention.

Dealer & Customer Intelligence

Identifying patterns that differentiate high-quality dealers from high-risk segments.

Relationship Manager Productivity

Analyzing how relationship managers allocate time and identifying opportunities to improve productivity.

Portfolio Risk Monitoring

Detecting early signals of emerging credit risk across large portfolios.

 

What You Will Do

Structure Business Problems

Work with product managers and business teams to break down operational problems into analytical questions.

Analyze Complex Data

Explore lending, collections and operational datasets to uncover patterns and insights.

Support Product Development

Help product teams design features and workflows grounded in data insights.

Measure Product Impact

Evaluate how new product initiatives influence business outcomes.

Bridge Data and Operations

Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations for operational teams.
